Adding kale to tomato sauce (in this case: half marinara, half vodka sauce) is so delicious. Move over spinach, pasta just got a new best leafy green friend.
By and large, quantities given in recipes are approximate at best, if they are even given at all. Cooking is best done when it is by feel, not by measuring cups. Not sure how much oil or carrots to use? Give it your best guess. It is pretty rare that you will not be able to still make it delicious.
